All the Possibles

Notes

Four months into the European Accessibility Act, 33 of 35 big European shop home pages still have findings a machine can see

October 26, 2026

We ran the Designers checks over the home pages of 91 European online shops. 35 served a page we could read, and 33 of those had at least one automated accessibility finding. Half had no skip link. More than a third had icon-only buttons with no name.

We pointed our accessibility tools at our own sites, and one of them called unreadable text a pass

October 24, 2026

Twenty-six checks over nine of our own surfaces, every serious finding re-tested in Chrome. 76 real defects, a contrast tool that passed a 1.04:1 panel, and a longer list of false alarms from the tools themselves.

I probed every remote server in the official MCP Registry. 30,557 URLs, one evening.

October 19, 2026

Every remote MCP server in the official registry got one initialize and one tools/list with no credentials. 18,216 answered, 16,575 handed over a tool list, and the manifests, protocol versions and annotations tell a story about what agents are being connected to.
